Gillette Mach3 Razor Tag Images

Gillette announced in early 2003 that it would test RFID chipping in some Mach3 Turbo razor packages at Wal-Mart stores equipped with "smart shelves." Refer to one story about the project at  http://www.informationweek.com/story/IWK20030110S0028.

We also found evidence of Gillette "smart shelf" trials at Tesco in the UK. The UK Guardian uncovered disturbing evidence of shelves that took pictures of consumers. We at CASPIAN also found evidence of this in MIT Auto_ID Center documents and a video. Click here for more on that shocking news!

Vendors working with Gillette displayed and shared examples of RFID chipped Gillette razor boxes at the June 2003 RFID Journal Live! conference in Chicago. Here are some pictures of one of those boxes. There was also another configuration. We will try to post more pictures as they become available.
