Indirectly commenting:
Switching products at checkout has led otherwise conservative shopping consumers to risk the self-checkout machinery with invariable intrusions of assertive clerks explaining what is being handled wrongly by the consumer only seeking to purchase untainted foods and beverages and the other products chosen.
Spychips however actually might facilitate the substituting of customers' purchases either quickly from behind the counter or while s/he were gazing away from the shopping cart for a few seconds. That cashiers would dump alternatively tainted or inferior products in the course of a payment checkout process has become evident to the most trusting of citizens.
Currently roaming gangs of perpetrating predatory stalking identity theves control rural and suburban shopping.
Would spychips hinder their exploitings? Not if store management allowed probes of honest customers while ignored nonpaying affiliates of those violent, disguised criminals.
